| Dr. Rockowitz is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with Fellowship training in Joint Replacement. He has a special interest in treating joint problems of hips, knees and shoulders.
Dr. Rockowitz received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, MA. He received his Medical Degree from McGill University Medical School in Montreal, Canada. Dr. Rockowitz fulfilled his orthopaedic surgery residency at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, CA. Dr. Rockowitz then completed a Fellowship in Joint Replacement surgery with the renowned joint-replacement surgeon, Dr. Richard Rothman, at Pennsylvania Hospital and Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Following his fellowship, Dr. Rockowitz was recruited to establish the first orthopaedic surgery department for the Ochsner Clinic of Baton Rouge in Louisiana. Dr. Rockowitz relocated his orthopaedic practice to Phoenix, in 1989. Dr. Rockowitz has published several articles and has authored a chapter in a leading textbook on the hip.
