What is the got roc campaign?

The Story:  Dr. Rockowitz* supports the Ara Parseghian Medical Research Foundation,
started by the family of Notre Dame's
winningest” coach, Ara Parseghian,
who was featured in the movie “Rudy”.
Coach Ara’s son, Mike, is a Tucson Orthopaedic surgeon.
Over 15 years ago, Mike, and his wife Cindy were informed that 3 of their 4 children
had a rare disease, Niemann-Pick (NP-C), and that there was no cure.
They started the Foundation in an attempt to save their children.
Although the disease took their 3 angels over the years,
the Foundation has made incredible strides in finding a cure for NP-C.
This research also benefits other metabolic diseases like Alzheimers.
Donations to the Foundation are used solely for research and we are proud to support their efforts.

The Rockowitz Orthopaedic Center/ROC welcomes patients
of all ages and Diagnoses EXCEPT those of the neck and back.
The ROC is a fully equipped facility with on site X-Ray, Cast Room and Injectables.

Industrial Injuries
All patients injured on the job in Arizona have the freedom of choice
in the physician they choose for treatment.

A workplace injury that requires orthopaedic treatment can be treated by Dr. Rockowitz.  An injury report needs to be filled out by either your employer, an emergency or occupational care facility, or our office.  You or your referring facility will need to provide us with information about your industrial insurance coverage, as well as any previous medical treament for the same condition.  After your examination(s) you will always be provided with a work status form.  Your insurance carrier, referring source and your personal physician (if applicable) will also be informed of your diagnosis and treatment plan.

Prescription Refill Instructions
Prescriptions are refilled by our office ONLY during regular office hours.
We advise that you monitor your prescription level carefully to make sure that you do not run out on a weekend or evening.  To receive a refill of your prescriptions, CALL YOUR PHARMACY.  Provide the pharmacy your prescription number and request a refill.  The pharmacy will then call our office for approval for the refill.  Please allow 48 hours for our office to respond to all refill requests.

Cast Materials
Typically, casts have been made from a plaster-coated bandage that is dipped in water and applied to the body part that needs casting.  Fiberglass, is now being used because it results in a lighter, cooler, more comfortable and durable cast.  Fiberglass is also available in various fun colors and designs.
Another exciting option for casting is Goretex (TM) padding under the cast.
This padding allows the patient to freely get the cast wet while showering, bathing or
swimming.
